Founder Sam Xuereb started building custom billy carts as a young boy. Having grown up on a remote farm in Gippsland, Sam began making his carts more advanced with milking machine parts and whatever else he could find.

This passion for motorsports and innovation grew into building custom mini bikes, VW buggies, 4WDs and the world's first 2wd chain driven dirt bike in 1993

Sam also has a passion for mud racing, becoming the Australian 4WD mud racing champion from 1992 – 1996

In 1999, Monster Trucks Pty Ltd was created when Sam built 'Sampson' – our very first monster truck built and one of the first in Australia at the time.

Since then, we have built two methanol, big block monster trucks 'Devils Taxi' and 'Tropical Thunder'. Other impressive builds include a big block wheelie jeep, army tank, Datsun stunt car and the world's first and only V8 monster ball - designed and created by the Monster Trucks team in 2015.
